Tania Aria is an economist and private sector development expert with over 7 years of professional and managerial experience. She specializes in private sector led economic growth policies, trade and investment policies, women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship development, research, and econometric analysis. She has wide range of experience with the design, implement and evaluation of the economic growth projects having worked on projects for United States Agency for International Development (USAID), World Bank, Presidential Palace of GIRoA and Private Sector in Afghanistan. She is the recipient of the Mission Honor Award by U.S. Ambassador for her excellent performance at USAID Afghanistan. She is also awardee of Chevening Scholarship in 2013/14, which is the UK government’s most prestigious scholarship and a fellow of Faculty Development Program by U. S. Department of States. She has a MSc in Finance and Economics from University of Southampton and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kabul University. She is also awardee of exchange fellowship at Purdue University.
